2005 Playoff WinnersCongratulations to the winning teams from this Sunday’s 2005 Playoff Finals!
Fever Win Division ACongratulations to Fever for winning the regular season in Division A. They finished with a record of 12 wins, 3 draws, and 3 losses for a total of 39 points. Soccer Post Arsenal FC finished in second place, four points behind. In the race for the 2005 Division A MVP there is a three-way tie between Tim Mullen, of Cataraqui I, Sean Pierre, of Pilot House LCFC I, and Matt Jarbeau, of Rangers. Luke Corey of Fever was the leading goal scorer in Division A (by a large margin!), with 19 goals. As for keeping a clean sheet in Division A, again there is a three-way tie. The following goalkeepers led their defences to five clean sheets this year: Geoff Jackson of Rangers, Marty Braga of Sporting, and Ian Naugler of Calabria Italia. El Salvador Win Division BCongratulations to El Salvador for winning the regular season in Division B. They finished with a record of 13 wins, 4 draws, and 1 loss for a total of 43 points. Cataraqui II finished three points back in second place. The Division B MVP for 2005 is Tony VandenAkker, the goalkeeper of Loyalist. Congratulations Tony! Pietro Cutrona of Vita SC was the leading goal scorer in Division B, with 17 goals. Congratulations also go out to goalkeeper Melvin Orozco (and of course his defence!) of El Salvador, who earned the most clean sheets in Division B. Sleep Factory United Win Division CCongratulations to Sleep Factory United for winning the regular season in Division C. They finished with a record of 12 wins, 4 draws, and 2 losses for a total of 40 points. JKL Rangers and Valhalla finished just three points back (each with a record of 11-4-3). The Division C MVP for 2005 is Mike Bryant of Sleep Factory United. Congratulations Mike! Wayne Myers of Loyal Oarsman was the leading goal scorer in Division C, with 18 goals.
